  • CFS Class of 2018 Sponsors Sustainability Initiatives

    In science, the Cambridge Friends School seventh-grade students have spent the year addressing the essential question: How is Earth’s climate shaped and formed, and how is it changing? After delving deeply into this topic, the students felt strongly that they wanted to help facilitate changes within our community that would lessen our carbon footprint. They came up with the idea for our end-of-year project, which is to make further strides towards a more sustainable CFS.

  • CFS Welcomes Guest from Rwanda

    David Bucura, a Quaker leader in Rwanda, will be at Cambridge Friends School on Wednesday, May 17. He will meet with students in grades 5, 6, and 7, in the library. David was recently appointed the Coordinator of the African Great Lakes Initiative, which supports the Children’s Peace Libraries of Rwanda, among other initiatives. Every year, the Cambridge Friends School Book Sale sends hundreds of books to these libraries. And, at this year’s CFS Day of Service, families made bookmarks to go along with these books.

  • Families Celebrate CFS Librarian's 30 Years

    Cambridge Friends School families, past and present, are celebrating CFS librarian Sasha Lauterbach's 30 years of dedication and love of books, reading, and children and their families, Thursday, May 11. Hosted by the CFS Family Association, the festivities for adults are in the Meeting Hall from 8:30-10:00am. A congratulatory sign will be up in the Welcome Center for all to sign after the celebration. Want to celebrate Sasha, but can't make the party? Purchase a book plate created in her honor!
