|Amazon Experience Informs CFS Grade 8 Science Curriculum|
The EcoTeach 2015 Educator Academy in the Peruvian Amazon took a group of 25 teachers from around the United States, seven tropical ecology professors and scientists, and three incredibly knowledgeable local guides on a journey along the Amazon and Napo rivers. Cambridge Friend School’s grade 8 science teacher Jessica Kagle was one of three teachers awarded an EcoTeach scholarship to participate in this academy.

Cambridge Friends School grade 3/4 teacher Liz Plunkett and director of secondary school placement and outreach Sarah Turner attended AWARE's Unmasking Whiteness four-day institute in Los Angeles, California. Shelly Tochluk, author of Witnessing Whiteness, was the lead facilitator, along with other members of AWARE-LA (Alliance of White Anti-Racists Everywhere - Los Angeles) ).
